Emotional Capital – The Key to Financial Success
Halla Tomasdottir in her TED talk speaks about how we need to do emotional due diligence. “It is people who make money, not Excel spreadsheets…” As the executive chairman and co-founder of Audur Capital she led this Icelandic investment company firm through Iceland’s economic collapse without losing money. The company’s orientation is – “a financial service company emphasizing feminine values and social responsibility.”
Emotions have taken a back seat for too long. I love that someone started an investment company based in part on what our emotions are telling us. With our economic collapse we are seeing a mental collapse. If we were so smart, why are we in such a recession? Being successful is more than being able to analyze numbers.
