The New York Times wrote an article on how Discover is creating an “upscale men’s lifestyle network” with high end advertisers.
Of the 118 million men ages 15 and older in the United States, about four million are identified by the government as having incomes in excess of $150,000 each year, according to data collected last year by the U.S. Census Bureau. Additionally, almost six million men have incomes between $100,000 and $150,000.
It is great to see in our recession that our media hasn’t forgotten those least affected by the recession. We need these men to spend more sooner so they can get us out of our recession. If Discovery had done this a year ago we might not be in a recession now. It is about time!
